In Tennessee and parts of six surrounding states, organizations, community groups and citizens are working to bring democracy to the Tennessee Valley Authority energy system and transform it from the bottom up. With a democratically controlled power system, communities can win a public power model that prioritizes equity and social justice, labor justice, environmental protection and other local needs.
